What is the registered business address in Geneva?
The address is Route de Chêne 5, 1207 Geneva, close to Eaux-Vives station. Your contract specifies the exact address format and whether the address provider’s name must be included.
What is a C/O business address?
C/O means that your business is registered care of a third party. In Geneva, the Commercial Register requires this indication when the business does not have its own premises under an appropriate right of use. The address provider accepts the domiciliation and passes mail on to the people responsible for the business.
What is the difference between C/O and an address in my company’s own name?
C/O means “care of”: the address provider’s name appears in your business address. The own-name plan uses your company’s name without C/O, subject to the premises usage rights and contract terms. “Own name” describes the address format here, not a legal structure. The starting prices differ by CHF 10 per month, excluding VAT.
Can I use this address to register my company with the Commercial Register?
The address can be used for your company’s registration, provided your application and chosen arrangements meet the applicable requirements. The address agreement does not replace company formation or amendment procedures with the Commercial Register. We explain the formalities required for your situation.
How much does a registered business address cost?
The C/O plan starts at CHF 99 per month and the own-name plan at CHF 109 per month, excluding VAT. Mail handling options cost extra, from CHF 10 per month, excluding VAT. We explain billing, the contract term and any company formation or amendment fees before setting up the service.
How is my mail handled?
We receive your mail at the registered address. Depending on the agreed services, you can collect it from our office or choose scanning and postal forwarding options. Your contract specifies how mail is processed and sent to you, as well as the applicable charges.
Can I use the service for an existing company?
Yes. An existing company can apply for a registered address. We review your current address and the new arrangement to explain the steps required. Any address or registered office change at the Commercial Register must be coordinated with the start of your contract.
Is the service available to sole proprietors?
We also offer registered addresses to sole proprietors, after reviewing their activity and circumstances. Tell us where you work, whether your business already exists and how you intend to use the address. This helps us check whether the service meets your needs and the applicable requirements.
Can I apply if I live outside Switzerland?
You can apply, but we need to review your circumstances, legal structure and the conditions for carrying out your activity. A Swiss LLC or limited company must be representable by a person resident in Switzerland. A registered address does not replace this requirement. The conditions for self-employment must also be checked where applicable.
Does the service include an office to work in?
A registered address and a workspace rental are different services. If you need premises to carry out your activity or meet clients, tell us before choosing your plan. We will explain what can be offered for your situation.
Which documents do I need?
The list depends on your legal structure and how far along your project is. After your enquiry, we explain the information and documents required, particularly to identify the business, its activity and the people authorised to sign the contract.
When can I start using the address?
We confirm the service start date after approving your application and putting the contract in place. If a Commercial Register entry or amendment is needed, it follows the relevant authority’s procedure. The start of the service and registration are separate steps.
How long is the contract?
The contract term and cancellation conditions are explained before you sign. If you need an address for a specific period, mention this in your enquiry so we can check the appropriate terms.
